The Office for National Statistics (ONS) have released a report on the statistics of the burden of debt on the average household.
The statistics report that 51% of households has some sort of debt, with the average amount of debt being £3,200. Whilst the amount of households reporting that the debt is not a heavy burden on them it is still important to note that the households struggling most are those in the least wealthy households.
